Description: The aim of the project is to assemble the reference sequence, as well as structurally and functionally annotate the genome of Aceria tosichella, using a wide range of bioinformatics tools. It will allow for a deep insight into the organization of genetic information of this species. Moreover, we will analyse homeotic genes (Hox genes) which can lead us to a better understanding of the genetic background of the unique morphological pattern of eriophyid mites.
